Along with creating clothes for kids and mums, Kalpana also believes in sharing the joy of creating garments with others. She runs her own learning center - D Sew Club - founded in 2011, where the art of dressmaking is shared in a simple and easy to follow manner.
If creating crafts and clothes out of lovely fabric is your kind of thing, then D Sew Club is where you need to be! We offer an array of courses & classes to help you fulfil that dream project! Not only can you choose from the Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Level programs, but also from our special 1-day workshops. You can come in a group or individually for a fun-filled sewing time.

Get to know Kalpana!
Originally from New Delhi, India, Kalpana began sewing at the young age of 11. Initially it was mostly sewing by hand but that led to experimenting with old-school paddle-based sewing machines. Young Kalpana would sew clothes for her toys with scraps of cloth from old t-shirts and dresses. By the age of 14, she even managed to alter her sibling’s oversized dress to fit her slimmer physique! Any hand-me down clothes, she made new with her own alterations.
Kalpana's passion led her to build on this childhood interest and at the age of 18, she was accepted into the reputable National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. From there, she graduated with a degree in Design and her path was set.
